On Thursday, September 28th, the Scarsdale Raiders played a home game at Dean Field against the Mamaroneck Tigers. The Raiders fell behind in the first half with a score of 15-0 favoring the Tigers.  “We thought it was gonna be a really easy game and came out weak,” explained Blake Goldstein ’18, an offensive and defensive tackle.  “After halftime, with some adjustments, we came out much stronger and were able to put the game away,” said Goldstein.  After falling behind by 15 points, the Raiders scored 33 unanswered points.  A late touchdown by the Tigers brought the final score to 33-21, a Raiders win, bringing them to 5-0 on the season.  The Raiders play their final game of the regular season against the New Rochelle Huguenots, one of the best high school football teams in New York state, on October 7th at New Rochelle High School with the hopes of keeping their undefeated season intact.
