All Good Things was a Scarsdale classic; however, the store recently closed, leaving many to speculate what was going to replace the familiar dessert stop. The Golden Horseshoe, the shopping center where All Good Things was located, announced in December that Scoop Shop will open in March in place of All Good Things.

While Scoop Shop may sound unfamiliar to most students at Scarsdale High School, Scoop Shop actually was at the Golden Horseshoe before All Good Things. The store originally opened in the late 90’s, and its name later became Last Licks. The store was described as a “sports bar for kids” by Jon Deutsch, the owner and operator, because there were tables autographed by various athletes, including Derek Jeter, a former shortstop for the New York Yankees. Additionally, televisions were tuned into sports news and events. They sold frozen yogurt, ice cream, and candy, much like All Good Things.

The re-opened Scoop Shop will be run by Deutsch, and it will sell ice cream, candy, and other sweets. Be sure to look out for our review on the store.
