Junior E-lympics Prove To Be a Great Success

Due to the school closure in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic, one of the highlights of Junior year, the Junior Olympics, was canceled, bringing disappointment to many students. The student class government came to the rescue, though, and modified the Olympics to become E-lympics. Different challenges were sent out by email throughout the day, and students had the ability to complete the challenges by sending in a picture or video. Each student represented their elementary school, and received a certain number of points for completing each challenge. At the end of the Olympics, the points were counted, a winner was chosen, and an elementary school was put in the lead for next year’s in-person Senior Olympics, which the student government plans on putting together.
