The girls’ varsity A volleyball team secured a win on October 10th against Ursuline. Despite losing the first set, the Raiders played strongly during the second set, winning it with a score of 25 to 14. “The first set was a struggle, but I think we were just warming up,” said Magan Chin ’20, an outside hitter on varsity A. The Raiders continued their stellar performance throughout the rest of the game, and they defeated Ursuline 3 to 1.

The game was intense, as Ursuline has been a long-time rival. “The rivalry goes back many years, and it’s always a big game whenever we play them each year,” said Chin.

Overall, girls’ varsity A has had a strong season; they have won 23 games out of 32. Although the team lost many seniors who graduated last year, its new players added to the strength of the team. “We have many talented players this year, so I think we have been playing really well, maybe even more so than we had in previous years,” commented Chin.

The Raiders plan to continue their successful season, and they’re looking forward to their “senior game” on Tuesday, October 16th.
