The highly anticipated learning commons finally opened on Wednesday, January 10. Monday through Thursday, the commons will be open from 9am to 4pm, but on Fridays it will close at 3pm. The new commons will open on a different day for each grade: Wednesday for Seniors, Thursday for Juniors, and Friday for freshmen and Sophomores.

Many students have shared their excitement towards the learning commons on social media, posting photos and videos of the new center in addition to the wide variety of food, including frozen yogurt, salads, and breakfast food. “I’m definitely most excited for the dining services,” said Julia Singer ’19.

The commons will also serve as a place for students to study. It will provide Chromebooks and private rooms designated for studying. “I think this school needs more places to do work and eat lunch. I see people eating in the hallways so it’s definitely necessary,” said Emma Reed ’19.
