Scarsdale Islamophobia Workshop
March 13, 2017
On March 9, 2017, Scarsdale High School hosted an Islamophobia conference. Islamophobia was thoroughly discussed, and solutions were suggested. At the beginning of the meeting, everyone received a card and was asked to write one thing that you want people to know about Islamophobia and one question that you have about Islamophobia. The participants’ responses sparked discussions among the attendants of the meeting. There were various presenters who attended. All of the presenters shared their thoughts on the issue. There were discussions about sympathy and empathy, personal stories, and the causes of the problem. The main purpose of the conference was to spread awareness on ways to combat the issue and to inspire people to fight for the rights of everyone, regardless of their beliefs.
