Meet the Captains // Baseball
March 21, 2017
As the next sports season approaches, new teams will be configured, as well as new team captains will try to rise to the challenge of leading their team to victory. Now, you can check in with the captains of the 2017 Baseball team:
- Tyler Mandel ’17: I am mostly looking forward to one last ride for high school. I think this team has a very good chance to win the section, and we have many players that want to compete. Practice everyday is the best distraction, especially for the juniors on the team. I also encourage as many people as possible to come, as this team will not let you down.
- Christian Waterhouse ’17: Hi. So, this season will be very exciting. We have 15 returning players who have gained the knowledge of Varsity Raider Baseball. This is important because last year we were a very young team with limited varsity experience. This off-season everybody is working hard to make themselves better, so when we face Mamo and the rest of our competition there is no chance.
- Andrew Halperin ’17: I am really looking forward to competing and having a great time with everyone on the baseball team this year. There are a lot of really great guys on the team with some really good talent this year and I hope we can have a really successful season and, hopefully, win the league and the section.
