Ice, Ice Baby

The Sophomore Ice Skating Event was on Friday, March 16 and was at Hommocks Ice Skating Rink. The event was run by the Sophomore Student Government and tickets were sold at 10 dollars each, including admission and rental fees. The Sophomore Government usually hosts a class event every year. Sophomores had the time of their lives out on the ice skating rink, many demonstrating complicated twists and spins, and beginners stumbling and holding the rail for balance. As the rink was being cleaned and the ice was being buffed, the sophomores gathered at the tables and bought snacks from the snack shack. The event lasted about 2 hours, starting at 7:30 pm and ending at 9:30 pm. Albeit sore ankles and frosty fingers, many sophomores thoroughly enjoyed their experience at the event. “I really enjoyed skating with my friends, and I thought the event was a huge success,” Magan Chin ’20 commented.
