“Clue: On Stage!” Hits the Stage this Friday Night
March 24, 2022
“Clue” is known as a fun and classic board game filled with mystery and suspense, but did you know that it is also a play? The SHS Drama Club is performing the show “Clue: On Stage!” as their spring play and will be holding two performances this weekend. The first performance will be Friday (3/25) night at 7:30, and the second one will be Saturday (3/26) also at 7:30!
The show was chosen because it has been a few years since the drama club has put on a show surrounding a murder mystery plotline, and “Clue” felt like the perfect fit! “The unique and spirited style of the show allows for us to show off the talents of our actors, as well as the just as impressive talents of our tech department and our crew,” explained Taylor Levin ‘23, the assistant stage manager.
Although the traditional board game of “Clue” is anything but funny, the show is a comedy! “I’m really looking forward to seeing how everyone reacts to the jokes, we’ve been practicing them for so long and I really want to see how they come across,” commented Jack Finegold ‘24, the actor who is playing Mr. Green.
The show is premiering this Friday, and it will be the first time in 2 years since the Drama Club has been able to perform to a full capacity audience. Everyone involved in the show is extremely excited, and cannot wait to see everyone’s reactions to the show! “’Clue’ has a hilarious script, and our incredibly talented cast has taken that script and made an amazing show. I think I can speak for both Ms. Malecki and me when I say that we could not be more proud,” stated Levin.
Tickets are available to buy through the link in the Drama Club’s Instagram (@scarsdalehsdc), and they hope to see you there! “Come to the auditorium light, relaxed and ready to have a good time,” expressed Finegold.
