As the next sports season approaches, new teams will be configured, as well as new team captains will try to rise to the challenge of leading their team to victory. Now, you can check in with the captains of the 2017 Boys’ Soccer team:

• Fayez Merchant ’18: “We’re very excited for the upcoming season, particularly to be playing in front of our school and our fans. We want to prove that Scarsdale Soccer has the talent and belief to be the Section 1 Champions!”
• Chris Gaujean’18: “I would definitely say this is one the stronger teams we’ve had in the last four seasons, and I’m looking forward to the season. We’ve been working really hard in the pre-season and team bonding, and getting to know all the kids is always one of my favorite parts of the season. I think we have a real shot at not only winning the section but even States. We’ve made the section semis the past three years so we know what it takes to go far, but we definitely are ready to win it this year.”
