Getting to Know You:
In three words, how do you think your peers would describe you?
Dedicated, hard-working, responsible.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I love staying active by playing field hockey and lacrosse, lifting at the gym, and skiing. I also value spending time with my friends and family, babysitting, and being involved in student government to help make my school community the best it can be!
Why should a student who has never voted before care about this election?
For starters, I think that civic engagement is important in general. Students should vote in the school elections just as we all should vote in regular elections once we are 18. And for why students should vote in this election in particular, leadership is very important, and voters should want to pick students who have put a lot of dedication into school and our school government.
Campaign Values:
What are the top priorities you hope to accomplish if elected?
My top priorities are increasing school engagement, strengthening school spirit, and making sure students feel heard. I want to create more interactive and fun school experiences, especially during lunch and at school events. I would like to accomplish this while also improving communication between students and the student government. Most importantly, I want to turn student ideas into action, rather than making unrealistic promises.
How do you plan to identify the needs and concerns of the student body?
I plan on actively listening to students by sending out surveys and creating regular opportunities for feedback so everyone has a voice. I also want to be someone who people feel comfortable approaching at events or in school, so students feel comfortable sharing ideas or concerns with the rest of the government and me directly.
What do you think makes your campaign special?
My campaign is special because I have so much experience, consistency, and genuine care for the school community. I’ve been involved in student government since middle school and have held multiple elected leadership roles, which have taught me how to plan events, collaborate with others, and follow through. I’m not running because I want this on my resume. I’m running to listen, show up, lead with passion, and above all, I want students at SHS to have the best overall experience they can have.
What experience have you had being a leader?
I have held many leadership roles throughout high school, serving as the Freshman Class Secretary, Sophomore Class President, and Junior Class President. In these roles, I planned, organized, and ran many events and fundraisers, including the blood drive and movie night, bake sales, and class events like The Amazing Race. I have supported the SHS Community Dinner and have been invited to represent students at a Board of Education meeting. Additionally, I am on the Scarsdale Alternative School Activities Committee, elected by students and faculty. I also served as Head of the A-School Outing and Orientation Committee, where I helped coordinate an orientation, an overnight, and several major events. In addition, I am Co-President of the Women’s Sports Foundation, where I helped raise awareness for girls’ access to sports by organizing fundraisers, walks, and guest speakers.
How do you plan to motivate and involve students who currently feel disconnected from school activities?
I want to create low-pressure, inclusive activities that make it easier for students to get involved, like trivia challenges, low-stakes tournaments, friendly competitions, and interactive events that appeal to different interests. By offering more options and listening to what students actually want, I hope to help students feel more connected, excited, and valued in our school community.
