On Tuesday, November 12, students in AT US History took a day trip to New York City to learn about the city’s history through a student-led walking tour. Students selected from four loops: Midtown, Downtown East, Downtown, and Washington Square Park. Within these loops, students paired up into groups of 2-5. Each group prepared a 5-minute presentation on a specific location on the loop to present to the group during the walking tour. Students visited various places like the United Nations, The Stonewall Inn, the 9/11 Memorial, the Eldridge Street Synagogue, and more!
Students enjoyed their day in NYC with friends! They learned about a variety of places and were able to spend time with their friends. “I enjoyed spending a day with my friends and classmates outside of school and walking all around the sunny city,” Joyce Liu ’26 shared.
