Fox Meadow Student Competes in MasterChef Junior
March 7, 2019
Shannen Hosman, a fifth grade Fox Meadow student, will be competing in the popular MasterChef Junior competition.
Hosman has always expressed a special interest in cooking and started the hobby when she was only seven years old. “I love cooking because when I’m in the kitchen it’s like I can make magic potions and make my own recipes to eat and make which is really fun,” explained Hosman. One of her own creations is her signature “No Waste Pancakes.” Combining vegetables, yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and leftover fruit, these rich pancakes are unlike any others. “I definitely think that’s much better lunch for school than slice of pizza,” noted Hosman.
Hosman has always loved watching MasterChef Junior with her sister, so when Hosman’s mother discovered that she could participate in MasterChef Junior on social media, the two immediately signed up.
One memorable aspect of the MasterChef junior experience for Shannen was the star studded cast of judges. “I got to meet and cook with all of the judges, including Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi, and Aaron Sanchez. I definitely got life long memories from that show that will always sparkle in my head,” commented Hosman.
Watch Shannen Hosman in the premiere of MasterChef Junior on March 12 on FOX at 8 PM.
