“I came because we are all protesting going to school because if they are not going to make stricter gun laws, and they’re not going to make our schools safe when we have to go every single day, then why should we stay? And that’s why we’re walking out: to protest until they make schools safer and make stricter gun laws… I definitely feel more involved. Many of us were struggling with how we could show our support and how we could protest and I think this walkout was a way that everyone in the school could show their anger and try and protest what they want to be changed.” – Ella Ansell ’19
