On Tuesday, January 28th, Scarsdale’s National Art Honors Society (NAHS) hosted Palette, a coffeehouse and marketplace event highlighting the school’s creative community. NAHS is an SHS club that hosts arts and crafts events, service projects and is responsible for art installations around the school hallways and even throughout Scarsdale. The event included a wide variety of SHS clubs selling food, drinks, sweets, and more. There was everything from pies provided by the Math Team to handmade yarn keychains by the Yarn Work Club. Palette also included live performances from the many talented SHS students.

Students were able to pre-order tickets in advance or buy them during the event. Each ticket cost one dollar and allowed students to buy things from the different vendors. The event lasted from 3pm – 5pm and was popular among students and faculty alike. There was even an appearance from beloved, retired physics teacher, Dr. Draper! It was a great event that allowed the SHS community to come together! “We were so extremely happy to see so many people enjoy our event, especially since planning started back in October 2024. It was very rewarding to see our hard work pay off, ” Kaya Sasaki ’25, Co-President of NAHS, expressed. Due to the success of the event, NAHS hopes to plan another Palette event soon!
