I love topping my oats with various fruits (either frozen or fresh), shredded coconuts, nut butters, and maple syrup or coconut sugar if it needs some extra sweetness. This oatmeal recipe is quick, sweet, satisfying, delicious and is perfect for a quick breakfast before school! You can even take it in a to-go cup and eat it in the car. Breakfast is truly the most important meal of the day as it optimizes your performance in class and allows you to focus on your school work, and this meal is a great way to get it started. Oats are a great option because they are complex carbohydrates and high in fiber, therefore they take a long time to digest and will keep you full. Try to avoid pre-packaged or instant oatmeal as it contains LOADS of sugar and added chemicals. Instead take a few minutes to whip together this tasty treat and your tummy will be thanking you all the way until 5th period!
